Southeastern PA Coaches' Poll #2
POLL # 1- October 1, 2001
A little shake-up in both polls. But with their victory
over North Penn in an important dual meet October 3, and a planned off-Saturday
on 10/6, Council Rock girls are still atop the poll. In fact, they have
moved up this week in The Harrier poll
to #2 in the entire Northeast. Behind them, North Penn stayed in 2nd, and
O'Hara dropped to 4th behind Wissahickon, despite their second place finish
at Steel City. The biggest leap was Great Valley, who moved into the poll
for the first time, and all the way to 5th, after getting 3rd behind O'Hara
at Steel City by a single point.
On the boys' side, O'Hara grabbed the top spot with a
strong 2nd place finish behind nationally ranked Cedar Cliff (District
3) at Steel City. Council Rock and Coatesville each dropped a spot, to
2nd and 3rd, respectively.
