November, 2002 - Track & Field News unveiled their 2002 High School All-American team in their November issue, and it includes quite a few Pennsylvania athletes. Coughlin's Justn Ryncavage in Javelin and Merion Mercy's Tiffany Abney are only US#1's.

#4, Sam Bair, Shaler, 3rd @ National Scholastic Championships, State Champ

4x800:
#2, North Penn, 2nd at National Scholastics & top American team at Penn Relays, State Champs

Javelin:
# 1, Justin Ryncavage, Coughlin, Penn Relays Champ, adidas Outdoor Champ, 2nd USA Juniors, 3rd @ States behind Ryan Sherwood and Brad Zimmerman
#2, Ryan Sherwood, McDowell (led through year with 229-01)
#3, Brad Zimmerman, Warwick




Girls:

100:
#5, Juanita Broaddus, William Penn

800:
#5, Evelyn Dwyer, Merion Mercy Academy

100 Hurdles:

#3, Courtney Clark, Norristown, AOC and USATF Youth champ, 1st American @ Penn Relays (3rd overall), and 8th (2nd prep) @ Junior Nats

High Jump:
#5, Sheena Gordon, McDowell

Triple Jump:
#3, Sheena Gordon, McDowell, 2nd @ AOC and USA, and just missed World Junior finals
