PCN TELEVISING HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NOVEMBER; CROSS-COUNTRY,
VOLLEYBALL, SOCCER, AND FIELD HOCKEY DATES ANNOUNCED

Cross-Country AA
Friday, November 9 7:00 p.m. (From 11/3)
Replays 11/16, 6:00 p.m.

High school championship action returns to the Pennsylvania Cable Network in November as the statewide television service airs live coverage of girls' volleyball, girls' soccer, and boys' soccer finals, along with cross-country races and field hockey title games.

PCN's exclusive presentation of state sports championships is part of a new five-year agreement with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, a nonprofit organization which arranges high school tournaments in the commonwealth. The video contract also covers football, wrestling, swimming and diving, basketball, track and field, baseball, and softball state finals.

"Our agreement with the PIAA assists in the promotion of sports which traditionally receive little or no media coverage," said PCN President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Lockman. "Those involved or interested in cross-country, volleyball, soccer, or field hockey now have a home for watching Pennsylvania's best amateur teams and athletes."

Championship action begins Friday, November 9, when PCN televises boys' and girls' cross-country races in classes AA and AAA. Live coverage of all three girls' volleyball finals is set for the following day, with girls' and boys' soccer championships taking the field November 16 and 17. PCN will also show both field hockey finals November 17, along with providing a statewide replay Thanksgiving week.

"Our carriage of state championship sports is made possible by Pennsylvania cable television companies," noted PCN Senior Vice President Bradford N. Hammer. The network's programming and operating costs are voluntarily paid for by participating cable systems through a monthly fee; PCN receives no tax dollars.

High school finals continue in December on PCN with live coverage of all four state football finals. Additional information is available on the television service's Web site at www.pcntv.com.
