INDOOR 2003
March
25, 2003 - While in New York, I got to meet Christopher Malcolm,
Reggie Witherspoon's (left) indoor coach.
With PA's legendary William Reed of Central High as the holder of
the record Witherspoon broke in the 400 at NSIC, it was only natural
for me to cover the story as discussion centered on which record to
count. Reggie's was run from a three-lane stagger, while Reed's was
run from a two-lane stagger. It also gave me the opportunity to interview
Arnie Shiffrin, Reed's high school coach. The story
was published March 25th on Dyestat,
along with some of the discussion in the T&F community, and a
response from Reggie Witherspoon.
Also
while in New York, Matt "Jersey Guy" Soja and I talked with
record-setting Pentathlete Donovan Kilmartin (right)
and his coach of Team Idaho. The story
was also published on Dyestat.
