March 31, 2002 - Three new and one tied
mark for the girls during the 2002 Indoor Season.
After Karina
Francis, William Penn, broke the seven-year old 60 dash record of 7.50
that was held by Joyce Bates of Simon Gratz with a 7.46, along came
Jakki Bailey of Kennett, going 7.44 at the Nike Indoor Classic. William
Penn's Juanita Broaddus took .03 off the 24.05 200 record of Jennifer
Wilson of William Penn, who set the mark in 1992. Sheena Gordon,
McDowell, topped her Triple Jump Record by 1.5", going 41-06; and
she tied the 6-0 High Jump record of Central Dauphin East's Hyleas
Fountain, which had been set in 1999. See the PA Indoor and Outdoor State Records

November 11, 2001 - TWO FEATURES FROM THE 11/3 PA PIAA STATE
CHAMPIONSHIPS: Cedar Cliff was second in 2000 and won in 2001. This team
was second this year, and looks strikingly like Cedar Cliff of last
year. With one exception, they don't all tuck in their shirts. Click here. And Angie Saterstad
