Ed Ruiz, William Tennent, was named the meet's outstanding athlete after his first place in the Discus (157-06) and 2nd place in the Shot Put (52-11-1/2). Glen Mills' Tyree Suber took the Shot with a meet record of 58-10. Tennent captured the team title with 1-5 points. It's not often that PA high schoolers get to run the 5000, and they did it well. Hatboro-Horsham's Mike Kenny ran 15:33.6 for the win. Haverford's Ed Dutch edged Council Rock-North's Pete Hewins by .1, going 15:41.1.
