If you name a meet "Iceberg" Relays, it should be little surprise if the weather turns against you. And that's exactly what happened at Wallenpaupack HS. The meet began as a comfortably warm one. Located beside a lake, the area around the track turned into dense fog and a downpour by the middle distance medley. And by the time the 4x800 runners were toeing the line, the fog was so dense and the rain so heavy, you couldn't see runners more than 30 yards away. To adjust, the heats were combined in the 4x800 and 4x400's, which was run in a torrential downpour. Highlights: Lakeland boys take seven relays. Coughlin 4x800 in 8:19.8. Tunkhannock's Matt Blaisure and partner to 12' combined high jump, with Blaisure clearing 6"'8" after clearing 6'2, 6'4, missing @6'6 and then clear @ 6'8. In the girls competition, Western Wayne took six relays, but Bethlehem Liberty was deeper, taking three 2nds, one third, and one 4th to capture the team title.
