Tiffany Abney has won eight state championships in three
years of high school. And her training this year is geared to make
her senior year something special. But the one thing track teaches
is that there's always someone else coming along who can give you
a good run. She's a Philly girl. Not surprising. But she's just a
7th grader. Clarenchell Tate of Imani Charter School in Philadelphia
hit the track week #1 of the Colgate Women's Games and came away matching
the hand-time of Abney in the High School 200, 25.4. But more
impressively, she doubled in the 55 Dash, setting a new Middle School
meet record of 6.9. By the way, Abney won her 200 after missing
the 400 because of heavy Jersey traffic. Other PA performances included:
