Racing again against the nation's elite, PA's
best acquitted themselves well. Sabrina Shaw, Simon Gratz,
won the 55 Hurdles in 8.59, while teammate Angela Wells captured
the Long Jump with a leap of 18-05.50, and was named the Outstanding
Female Athlete in Field Events. The William Penn foursome of
Kandis Worthington, Christina Smith, Kneshia Sheard,
and Juanita Broaddus go
3:50.91 for 1st in 4x400.
Simon Gratz then took 2nd in the 4x200 by just .19 with a 1:43.53.
Broaddus was 4th in the 400 with her 55.82. West Catholic sophomore
Nicole Leach was 5th with a 56.01. Penn's Smith ran
56.60. West Catholic frosh Latavia Thomas was 6th in the 800,
running 2:16.97. For the boys, the Simon Gratz squad went 1:33.94.
