Ches-Mont League Championships @ Malvern Prep

5000 meters

Windy, cool, 50 degrees

First year runner Jessie Yestear of Downingtown tied the course record at Malvern Prep with a 19:53. That was the good news. The bad news was that Coatesville's Kelly O'Connell was ahead of her, finishing in 18:49. But both girls saw their team finish behind a strong showing by West Chester Henderson, who went 3-4-6-7-8 for just 28 points. Rob Robertson, Coatesville, won the boys title in 16:13, breading the old course record of 16:44. Henderson also won the boys title with 30 points.
