The start of the girls Large Schools race at the Bulldog Invitational.

Erin Franklin, Wissahickon, had the lead from 1.25 to the finish, running 18:35 for the fastest time of the day.

Villa Maria's Kim Malcolm finished a strong second to Franklin in the girls Small School race in the 4th fastest time of the day.

Yester, Irwin, Kelly and Leitch had separated themselves from the pack by a mile.

By 1.25 miles, it was Jessie Yester and Amy Kelly.

By two miles, it was Yester in control.

At 1.25 in the boys Large Schools race, Prep's Tim O'Neil was setting the pace along with Haverford's Eddie Dutch. Dutch dropped back after an injury resurfaced, but still finished 20th.

Approaching two miles, O'Hara's Steve Hallinan had moved to challenge O'Neil.

O'Neil had a big week, setting a PR at Belmont and winning the Bulldog Invitational. It was the first time he had beaten Hallinan since the 7th grade.
