Cumberland Valley took both the boys and girls championships
at the Lebanon Valley Invitational at Memorial Lake State Park in Fort
Indiantown Gap. CV's 73 points was 18 ahead of AA power Scranton Prep.
St. Joseph's Prep and Woodbridge HS (VA) both had 109 points, with St.
Joe's getting the call on 6th man. Woodbridge's Mike Lyng took top
honors in 16:36.89, followed closely by CV's Mark Turner less than six
seconds back. The Cumberland Valley girls posted just 68 points and easily
outdistanced Woodbridge HS (VA) by placing five in the top 30. Western
Wayne sophomore Meaghan Robbins took first with a 20:05, 14 seconds better
than West Allegheny's Christine Taranto.
