The two fastest 5K's in the state so far: Council
Rock's Jessic Cickay ran the fastest 5K of the young season, and in the
process, broke the two-year old course record of Pennridge star Renee
Gunning by 36 seconds, the new standard now 17:50. Her team also won, taking
North Penn by two points, 50 to 52. Also going sub-19 were Jessica Yester,
Downingtown, 18:38, and Bal Myers, CB East, 18:46. In the boys race, host
CB East took the team title with 77 points, with Upper Moreland second
with 98. Upper Moreland's Mark Mullelly ran the fastest boys 5K in the
state, a 15:31, to take individual honors.
